Since Jake and Eli first appeared in print, I've been talking about them in schools and libraries across Ontario, in my home town of Calgary, and even in Dublin, Ireland.

I base my presentations around what the class is looking for.  Often when talking to grade 7 classes, I focus on the way that Jake and Eli's story fits into the Canadian history that is in the curriculum. Other times, I use examples from the stories to shape a discussion about how to add more conflict and drama to your stories, or what it takes to create unforgettable characters.
